El Mundial (elmundial.dance) is the international dance competition created by Karen and Ricardo, bringing together Latin rhythms, hip hop, salsa, bachata, merengue, cha cha cha, ballroom and other styles. The registration platform, choreography management and memberships are developed and operated by eCheck System (echeck.cl).
This policy applies to elmundial.dance and to the administration, organizer and membership areas (/system/es/ and /system/es/dancer/) hosted under the same domain.
When you visit the site we record, for statistics and security purposes: IP address, approximate country and city (obtained through IP geolocation), browser/device type (user agent), pages viewed and date/time of the visit. This data does not by itself identify a person and is used in aggregate form.
Your data is not used for any purpose other than those listed above. We do not sell it or share it with third parties, except as strictly necessary to process a payment or comply with a legal obligation (see section 6). It is kept safeguarded with the security measures described in section 9.
We process your data based on: (a) your consent (for example, when accepting this policy or non-essential cookies), (b) the performance of a contract/service (managing your registration or membership), and (c) our legitimate interest in maintaining the security and proper operation of the site. We comply with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and with Chile's Law No. 19,628 on the Protection of Private Life.
Minor dancers: when a competitor is a minor, registering and managing their choreography must be done by their Director, Guardian and/or Parents, who are responsible for authorizing the processing of the minor's data and for meeting the participation requirements, as stated in the registration form itself.

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. We only provide these providers with what is strictly necessary for the service they perform (for example, the amount and contact details needed to process a payment); we do not use it ourselves for any other purpose.

We apply reasonable technical measures to protect your data (restricted access, encrypted HTTPS connections, locked-down credential folders). We keep your data while your account is active or as needed to meet legal, accounting or competition-rule requirements; aggregated browsing data is kept for statistical purposes.
We may update this policy to reflect legal, technical or service changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the current version.
